Mamuka Jugheli, the agent of Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, confirmed that there’s ‘a lot of interest’ in his client amidst reports that Real Madrid are keen to make a move.
The 21-year-old Georgian winger exploded onto the scene to become one of the most exciting youngsters in Europe this season, being an important reason behind Napoli’s Scudetto charge.
Kvaratskhelia has scored 11 goals and provided 14 assists across 23 appearances in Serie A and the Champions League this season, attracting attention from across Europe.
Speaking to CN24, Jugheli was first asked about Real Madrid’s interest in his client Kvaratskhelia.
“It’s only me who represents Kvara. He only gets in touch with me and his father. There are no third parties representing him as written in Spain.
“Having said that, yes, there is a lot of interest from other clubs. However, Kvara only thinks about winning the Scudetto and Napoli’s games in the Champions League.”
He confirmed that the 21-year-old Georgian winger had no interest in joining another team in Italy.
“He thinks about bringing happiness to the Neapolitans. Kvara loves Naples. He loves being there. He told me that football-wise in Italy he only sees himself in Napoli.
“He will never play for any other Italian club apart from Napoli. He lives in Naples like he does in his homeland.”
Finally, Jugheli did not provide a positive update regarding the reports that Napoli are preparing a more lucrative contract for Kvaratskhelia.
“As far as the renewal of the contract is concerned, at the moment we have not received any offers.
“But I have a good relationship with the management of Napoli and if there is something new you will know it.”
Kvaratskhelia’s current contract expires with Napoli in June 2027 and the club’s strong financial health means they won’t be forced to sell any first team stars in the summer.
